ABOUT ME

I'm Gemma, I have been in love with make-up and beauty for as long as I can remember.
I started my beauty journey in 2004 when I finished high school, I started a Beauty Therapy course at Suffolk College.
There I gained two qualifications, beauty and holistic therapy level two and three, but something was missing.....make-up !!!!

I had always had an interest in make-up but never realised how much I loved it. I love making people feel beautiful and confident, whether that is a soft and natural bride or a full glam photoshoot. 
My professional make up career started in 2011. At that time I worked as a freelance artist mainly for friends and family.
​
I became employed by M.A.C. at Fenwick Colchester in 2015.
I learned so much from working for the brand including a whole range of different techniques and application methods. Working for a brand meant that I was required to apply make-up to a diverse range of people which gave me invaluable experience in applications on a range of skin tones and types.
​
After having my daughter Phoebe, Charlotte Tilbury was my next calling.
​
Working for Charlotte Tilbury has expanded my knowledge even more.
At Charlotte Tilbury, I have gained a solid understanding of skincare and the importance of it. I had a great oppitunity to meet some of the Charlotte Tilbury pro team and learnt some amazing tips from them. Including how to photgraph make-up well. 
​
While working at each brand, I have continued my freelance work which i absolutely love. 
​
I like to think I am adaptable to a range of styles to make everyone feel and look their best, and having over 10 years experience in the industry I can work in a professional and friendly manner.
